Frequently asked questions

Is Speechie open for appointments?
Not yet. Speechie is preparing to launch and will begin offering services once the clinician's registration with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO) is confirmed. You can join the waitlist to be notified.
Are the tools really free?
Yes. Every tool and guide on this site is free, with no sign-up, no account and no email required.
Can I get speech therapy for my child for free in Ontario?
Children who have not yet started school can self-refer to the Preschool Speech and Language Program, which is publicly funded and needs no doctor referral. School-aged children are served through school boards and Children's Treatment Centres. The city pages explain each route.
Who is behind Speechie?
Speechie is being built by a future clinician currently completing a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology at a Canadian accredited program. Speechie is a brand name, not a professional title. The site will name the clinician and registration number once registration is confirmed.
